Accessibility Statement
Last Updated: October 26, 2026
LissLovesYou Inc. supports children and families, and we want everyone to be able to use our website. That includes people who are blind or have low vision, people who are Deaf or hard of hearing, people with mobility or motor disabilities, people with cognitive, learning, or neurological disabilities, and people who use assistive technology such as screen readers, magnification, voice control, switch devices, or a keyboard instead of a mouse.
1. The standard we are working toward
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). We are a small nonprofit and accessibility is an ongoing effort, so some parts of the site may not yet fully meet this standard. When we find a problem, or you report one, we work to fix it.
2. What we have done
- Added a "Skip to main content" link and clear page structure (headings, navigation, main content, and footer) so screen reader users can move around quickly.
- Made every page usable with a keyboard alone, with a clearly visible focus indicator. The mobile menu opens and closes from the keyboard, and the Escape key closes it.
- Added a "High contrast" switch in the footer of every page. It deepens button and text colors and darkens the overlay behind text on photographs so they meet minimum contrast ratios. It also turns on automatically if your device asks for more contrast, and the site remembers your choice.
- Added text descriptions for meaningful images and hid purely decorative images and icons from screen readers. Our cryptocurrency QR codes are always accompanied by the wallet address as text.
- Gave every form field a visible, correctly connected label, marked required fields, and made phone numbers optional so that no one has to share a phone number to contact us.
- Told visitors when a link opens in a new tab.
- Made pages reflow to a single column on small screens and when zoomed in, so you do not need to scroll sideways to read.
- Respected the "reduce motion" setting on your device by turning off animations and smooth scrolling.
- Our site does not currently include video or audio. If we add either, we will provide captions and transcripts.
3. Other ways to take part
If any part of this site is hard for you to use, you do not have to use it to take part. We will work with you to help you donate, volunteer, ask a question, or get information in another way that works for you, such as by email or phone. Calls placed through telecommunications relay services are welcome, and every request on this site can be made without making a phone call.
4. Tell us about a problem
We want to hear about barriers you find. Please let us know:
- The address (URL) or name of the page.
- What happened and what you were trying to do.
- The device, browser, and assistive technology you were using, if any (this is optional but helps us fix the problem).
We aim to reply within 5 business days and to fix confirmed problems as soon as reasonably possible.

5. Third-party services
Some features are provided by other companies, for example our online donation form (provided by Zeffy) and our social media accounts. We do not control how those services are built. If you cannot use the donation form or another third-party service because of a disability, please contact us and we will work with you to find another way to give, such as through our cryptocurrency donation page or by arrangement with our team.
6. How we checked
On October 26, 2026 we reviewed every page of this site using automated accessibility testing tools and manual checks of keyboard use, color contrast, and zooming. We built the site with standard HTML, CSS, and JavaScript so that it can be used with common browsers and assistive technologies. We will review this statement and the site at least once a year and whenever we make major changes.
7. Your rights
This statement describes our efforts and is not a guarantee that every page is free of barriers. It does not limit any rights you have under disability-rights laws. See also our Terms of Use.
